Simply, beautiful, Just shows you how much you really can do with photography in motion. I think I going have to take crack at trying to do something like this.
Ya man i agree, it reminds me of the old move battleship potemkin which is a silent film, but amazing! it looks like every single frame was taken a camera (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1630669376406423668 ) thats actually the whole movie haha check it out.
yeah it does have a very 'battleship potemkin' feel about it, which at the same time reminds me of steinmetz...
that said, it's an incredible video. so guys, any idea what engine he used to render this/how he did the smoke?
i think 3d animation coupled with still photographs in a few instances. the light reflecting on the piano looks v-rayish to me, but i have no idea how he did the smoke or indeed if he rendered the entire environment in a v-ray engine cos the light looks v-rayish too in some instances (and if it is, damn he spent a long time doing textures and stuff)...not sure what filter he used on the video afterwards though...this could all be wrong, of course, and no idea how he did the boat scene either...
