Pioneer O Pioneer: Levi Ad

This is another great ad by Levis Again much like the "Go Forth" ad it features
a reading of a poem by Walt Whitman

Pioneers! O Pioneers"
A poem celebrating the great American urge to settle and farm the western prairies
that surged in the years immediately following the Civil War.
It was during these years that Walt Whitman was writing poems such as "Pioneers! O Pioneers!"
dedicated to America's "youthful, sinewy races," "Western youths" drawn to the wide prairies.

If you haven already seen the "Go Forth" its amazing

Levi's - America

Really love how this commercial looks.  Plus even though it's narration is in english they put subtitles making it feel like a old french propaganda film or something.

directed by Cary Fukunaga for Wieden+Kennedy

Levi's Go Forth Campaign 2009

The audio in this spot is believed to be an original wax recording of Whitman’s real voice reading four lines of his 1888 poem “America”, part of the inspiration for the Manifest Destiny movement.

Centre of equal daughters, equal sons,
All, all alike endear’d, grown, ungrown, young or old,
Strong, ample, fair, enduring, capable, rich,
Perennial with the Earth, with Freedom, Law and Love,
A grand, sane, towering, seated Mother,
Chair’d in the adamant of Time.
